Update from Memorial Hospital
We are delighted to share some footage of Memorial Hospital, a fantastic BUFR project recently completed in Shooters Hill, London. This extensive refurbishment project involved the replacement of the roof waterproofing with a new Safe2Torch Garland system, including thermal upgrades, rooflight renewal and associated works.
The project was extremely challenging from a logistical perspective due to the high-risk nature of the site. Health and safety had to be outstanding at all times, particularly as this was a specialist Psychiatric unit with both day care and long-term patients. In addition, the proximity of the roof to the working environment of the hospital below meant that works had to be meticulously planned and controlled to ensure minimal impact to the hospital’s daily operation.
Ultimately this was a challenging but highly rewarding project that succeeded thanks to exceptional planning, project management and communication throughout. The end result is a stunning new roof which will perform for many years, with all aspects of the project completed for the client within budget and to the agreed timescale.
